About a week ago, people who owns the Sprint Samsung Epic 4G have been pretty much excited of the news that their phone will have a Gingerbread update that would mark the phone as one of the best supported Android device there is, due to the versions it endured and got developed into. There have even been new ads on Sprint that newer sales of the Epic 4G would have Gingerbread preinstalled for them.
However, all of this anticipation ends up being an honest mistake, with some techs confirming that the Sprint Samsung Epic 4G will not be sold for quite some time with Android 2.3 included. Same it is with the update that was supposed to be rolled out. This is because of a typographical error that meant 2.2 on the website, was typed 2.3, causing much stir to those who believe that they will finally have a new OS update. That should be the bad news.
