Pama to sell Doro’s handsets in its FoneBitz stores at motorway service stations, as well as distribute the products through its wholesale distribution channel
Handset manufacturer Doro has signed an agreement with Pama covering both retail and wholesale distribution of the company’s mobiles, which are aimed at the senior market.
Initially the consumer retail activity will focus on Pama’s Fone Bitz brand – currently trading in 32 UK motorway service stations. The first products offers through Fone Bitz stores are the PhoneEasy 332 in black and PhoneEasy 410 in white.
The entire Doro mobile portfolio will also become available through Pama’s wholesale distribution channel. Pama works with independent and national retailers in the UK and in 30 overseas markets.
Doro UK and Ireland managing director Chris Millington (pictured) said: “Pama’s retail business Fone Bitz is an interesting concept, with locations in service stations across the UK it has a very strong bias towards the senior demographic we’re aiming at. We made the decision to work with Pama as the company’s strengths are well-suited to exploring what is a senior retail environment.”
Pama group sales director Mike Hopkinson said: “We see Doro becoming a major business partner as we work more closely to pursue our ambitious goals. We are excited about starting this relationship with two key models – both of which offer the mobile user an easy-to-use option.”
