A round-up of deals available from mobile retailers online and on the high street
CARPHONE
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is now available on a Vodafone contract for 25 a month, with 500 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB of data and 20 worth of free applications from BlackBerry App World. Alternatively, customers can buy the phone for 399.95, which has had 50 knocked off the price. The HTC Desire and Samsung Galaxy S are both available for 20 a month on the same Vodafone price plan that comes with 100 minutes, 500 texts and 250MB of data. Also, the newly announced HTC Incredible S is available for 25 a month on a Vodafone deal offering 300 minutes and unlimited texts. Paying an extra 5 a month will give customers 500MB of data.
PHONES 4U
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is available for a similar price at Phones 4U at just 53p more per month. Signing up to an O2 BlackBerry 500 tariff will enable the user to get 500 minutes, 3,000 texts, 500MB of data, BlackBerry email bolt-on and Wi-Fi. The BlackBerry Curve 8520, which comes in black, white and pink, costs 15 a month on a Vodafone tariff offering 100 minutes, 500 texts, 250MB and BlackBerry email bolt-on.
O2
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is available for the same monthly price at O2 and comes with 500 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB of data and free O2-to-O2 calls. Customers choosing the HTC HD7 on a 35 a month contract with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data, can receive a free Xbox 360 game. The offer runs until March 17 and they can download their voucher from xbox360game.o2.co.uk and choose from either Halo: Reach, Forza Motorsport 3, Crackdown 2 or Fable 2.
VODAFONE
Customers buying any contract phone based on the Android operating system before March 31 from Vodafone will receive unlimited UK calls to other Vodafone mobiles. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 in white is available for 35 a month on a tariff that offers 750 minutes, 250 texts, 500MB of data and 3,000 landline minutes.
ORANGE
As Everything Everywhere announces it will be the first network to stock the new Apple iPad 2, prices for the original iPad continue to stay low. The 16GB device is available on a 25 a month contract with an upfront cost of 99 with 1GB anytime web, 1GB ‘quiet time’ web (between midnight and 4am) and unlimited BT Openzone Wi-Fi. The 32GB model is available with the same package, but for an additional 50 upfront.
T-MOBILE
Customers will receive 100 free anytime UK minutes each month when they purchase the HTC Wildfire for 149.99 and top-up by 10, as well as six months free web access worth 20. The deal also applies to the BlackBerry Curve 9300, although the phone will cost 209.99.
BUYMOBILEPHONES
The HTC Desire HD can be picked up for free when customers sign up to an Orange Dolphin 20 plan that offers 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB for 20.42 a month. The HTC Wildfire is available for 15.32 a month on a T-Mobile deal that comes with 300 minutes, 300 texts and unlimited web access.
