The Honeycomb 3.1 update has everyone in an updating mood and there’s no reason why it shouldn’t do the same for zombie operating systems that just don’t know when to lie down and give up. We’re not entirely sure why Intel is bent on maintaining the pretense that this thing is any kind of competition for Android, but they’ve just released a new update for it so we’ll try not to spoil the festive mood.
Apart from the new tablet UI there’s nothing exceedingly fancy about it, just some A2DP and HSPA + fixes. The update is only for tablets and netbooks, with the handset edition rolling out later. Somehow, though, we believe you’ll manage. In the meantime, we’ll just be over here making a list of things likely to happen before MeeGo becoming a widely-adopted and successful mobile OS. So far we’ve only got “heat death of the universe”, but you’re welcome to chime in with suggestions.
