We talked about the cool new projector that slips into an optical drive bay back in April when Fujitsu announced the device. At the time, it was said to be available on a few Fujitsu notebooks online including the P771 and the S761 machines. Fujitsu has offered up more details on the projectors for us to enjoy.
The projector will be ready to use as soon as the lens is pulled out of the optical bay. It has buttons for brightness and keystone correction built-in. It also has laser technology inside promising to improve color and contrast when used for presentations.
The projector might start in only a couple machines as an option. However, Fujitsu plans to bring it to any notebook that has a modular drive bay in the future. It will ship on July 1 and will cost EUR 499. The price will vary by region.
