Sprint and Clearwire have jointly announced a resolution to their long-running network revenue sharing dispute, whereby Sprint will pay a total of $2.06 billion between this and next calendar year while also agreeing to wholesale rights to lease capacity to other interested parties in order to increase revenue. The agreement also settles a months-long dispute involving Sprint and Clearwire over the percentage of split revenue shared between each company for each customer that activates and uses a 4G device on the WiMax network.
