Fonehouse to modernise shopfronts

Independent retailer Fonehouse is to give its shops a facelift, starting with a competition for franchisees to win flatscreen TVs to stream marketing and promotional messages

Fonehouse is to make its stores more interactive by giving away flatscreen televisions as a result of a new partner incentive with Nokia.

The incentive, named ‘Shine’, runs through Q1 and sees the leading eight sellers of Nokia handsets in Fonehouse stores win a 42-inch television to be installed in their shop windows. Latest promotions will be streamed to the screens.

Fonehouse head of marketing Sunny Ratnam said: “This will not only incentivise partners to push sales but will also modernise Fonehouse store fronts with centrally controlled multimedia content running across our 50-plus outlets.”

Fonehouse has launched another incentive for consumers by teaming up with Lionsgate Studios on its latest film, The Next Three Days. The promotion, with a loose escape theme in keeping with the film, runs through all Fonehouse channels until the end of January and is open to new and upgrading customers.

The first prize was drawn on January 11 with the winner taking part in a ‘Supercar’ track day. The second prize, to be drawn on January 21, will reward the winner with a Spa day.

A PlayStation 3, three games and Sony 32-inch television will be awarded on January 31.

The incentive follows partnerships with Hollywood movie houses Universal, Momentum Pictures and most recently Warner Bros.
