Vodafone launches OneNet marketing campaign

Multimillion campaign targeted at SMEs launched on Friday and will run through to year’s end

Vodafone has launched a multimillion pound, multi channel advertising campaign to boost its OneNet custom.

The campaign, first reported in Mobile News in January, will cost between “1 and 5 million” and will run through online, radio and print channels.

The campaign will run intensely for “at least two months” and then through until the end of the year, a Vodafone spokesperson told Mobile News.

The spokesperson said the campaign will help contribute to the operators ambition to have 175,000 new business OneNet customers by 2015.

The Vodafone spokesperson said: “The best way of describing it, is showing them how they [SMEs] can punch above their weight in terms of communications.

“Today, most businesses function with a combination of landlines and mobiles – and employees use different number for each.

“As people send more and more time out of the office it becomes increasingly difficult to stay in touch, make key decisions and keep business moving forward.

“SMEs tend to be very much ‘owner owned’ and the decision makers tend to be those people as well so this campaign is very much targeted at them.”

Vodafone had 10 dealer partners selling OneNet at Christmas, and claimed a 10-fold increase in sales in the past quarter.

At the end of January a further 40 dealers had passed accreditation to sell the products since the turn of the year.
