Industry veteran joins operational improvement consultancy Alexander Proudfoot as the head of its telecoms division on a full time basis

Former Vodafone managing director of sales and distribution Stephen Brewer (pictured) has joined operational improvement consultancy Alexander Proudfoot as the head of its telecoms practice.

Based in London but travelling globally to meet with clients, Brewer will use his experience in business transformation and improving customer experience, to help the consultancy’s clients make significant improvement to their businesses.

Alexander Proudfoot UK president Mike Melling said: “I am pleased that Stephen has joined us to lead our efforts to further enhance and expand the services we offer to our clients.

Stephen’s industry experience includes leading companies at crucial stages of their development including preparing them for IPO, launching in new markets, and making key acquisitions.”

Brewer said: “I am very excited to be working with an organization with a track record of delivering value and results to clients.

There is already a very solid foundation to build upon that will enable Alexander Proudfoot to quickly become the ‘go to’ consulting firm for mobile phone companies looking to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations.”

Brewer who has also worked in senior roles at Eircel and Cellnet, became Cable and Wireless Caribbean chief executive after leaving Vodafone. He also worked for Caribbean and Central American operator Digicell.
