MWC:Samsung launches new own platform device

Samsung Wave will be available across Europe in May offering NFC connectivity and fast Wi-fi connection speeds

Samsung today launched the Samsung Wave 578 (pictured) at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona which is equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC) connectivity, running on Samsung’s own ‘bada’ platform.

The Wave 578 also has Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0 connections as well as a 802.11 b/g/n Wi-fi connection, making it one of the fastest Wi-fi connecting devices on the market.

Further features include: 3.2 mega pixel camera, a 3.2 inch LCD screen, the option to upgrade to 16GB of memory and up to 700 hours of standby time.

It will be available across all European markets in in May.
