Not all that well known for their smartphones, Huawei launched another handset in their Android based Ideos line, the Huawei Ideos X5 handset which comes out to play sporting the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system
According to Stuart Miles over at Pocket-lint they tracked the Huawei Ideos X5 down at “Mobile World Congress” but surely they mean CES 2011? So if you happen to read this post Pocket-lint could you verify if you have made a mistake or not?
Anyway back to the matter at hand, the Huawei Ideos X5 sports a 3.8 WVGA capacitive touch screen along with multi-touch support, MSM 7230 CPU, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video capture, GPS, digital compass, proximity, gravity, and ambient light sensor, HSPA, 802.11n WiFi, 4GB storage and microSD expansion, microUSB port and a 3.5mm jack.
The Huawei Ideos X5 is an entry-level Android device which is expected to see release in New Zealand and China sometime this month and will probably hit the UK thereafter.
