HTC Thunderbolt Clout the FCC

OK, so here’s what we do know about the HTC Thunderbolt so far – apart from the fact that it intends to whip the thunder (pun intended) from the CDMA iPhone 4 when released to the masses, this is one of the superior upcoming 4G smartphones from Verizon Wireless as well.

Flaunt to come with Android 2.2 Froyo and accompanied by a 4.3-inch display, 768MB RAM, an 8MP camera with dual LCD flash, a 1GHz processor, 1.3 MP Webcam, and 8GB of internal storage and a micro SD memory card slot.

It also boasts simultaneously voice and data support. What good is all of that if it cannot even make its way to the market, unless it receives approval from the FCC? That is what had happened today, where the FCC has certified its compliance with LTE frequencies. Best to set aside at least $200 if you want to bring this puppy home later this month from Best Buy.
