Market leader in enterprise application software, SAP has announced the addition of a new feature pack to their Business ByDesign that now delivers support for BlackBerry and the Apple iPad, and is SAP feature pack 2.6.
According to an article over on Zdnet, SAP stated that the feature pack 2.6 became available on the 1st of February, and the update enables more customisation along with support of mobile devices and also integration in on-premise installations.
Key features of the Business ByDesign feature pack 2.6 are, an SDK for Business ByDesign add-ons, integration for subsidiaries enabling bigger enterprises to expand on=-premise SAP to Business ByDesign, support for the Apple iPad and BlackBerry devices, expansion of in-memory computing, new forms and reports and adjustments to the UI.
Apparently Business ByDesign currently has 250 customers while SAP has stated they have 40 partners and 50 resellers that should expand the customer base “by several hundred” by May, and that SAP will address support for Windows Phone 7 and the Android platform in a future update.
SAP, which stands for “Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing”, helps both small and large businesses and industries run better and currently have sales and development locations in more than 50 countries globally.
